Ambleside, Stock Ghyll Force, Wansfell Pike & Baystones

Join us for our Season Opener 2027, a superb Lake District guided walk taking in the spectacular Stock Ghyll Force, the stunning summit of Wansfell Pike (482m) and Baystones (488m), the highest point of Wansfell.

Starting in the historic town of Ambleside, at the northern end of Lake Windermere, we will follow woodland paths to the impressive Stock Ghyll Force waterfall before ascending onto the open fell. The route offers superb views across Windermere, the Langdale Pikes, Coniston Fells, and the surrounding Lakeland mountains.

From Wansfell Pike, one of the finest viewpoints in the Lake District, we will continue along the ridge to Baystones, enjoying panoramic views over the Troutbeck Valley, Kirkstone Pass, and the Far Eastern Fells.
