Starting from the quiet hamlet of Little Langdale, the route ascends steadily through open fell and rocky paths to reach Pike o’ Blisco (705 m), a prominent summit providing sweeping vistas over Little Langdale, Great Langdale, and the central Lake District peaks. The climb introduces walkers to the dramatic landscapes of the Southern Fells.
From Pike o’ Blisco, the path follows the ridge north-west toward Cold Pike (701 m), a broad summit with grassy slopes and rocky outcrops. The summit rewards walkers with far-reaching views of Wrynose Pass, Crinkle Crags, and the surrounding Langdale fells.
The descent returns via valley paths toward Little Langdale, passing streams, open fell, and traditional stone walls, completing a circuit that combines high fell walking with panoramic scenery and a sense of remoteness.
